Thursday!

Maddox and I had some mommy/toddler kitchen time today....I was pretty bored, so I figured I'd teach him a thing or two early. Plus there were a few recipes I had been wanting to try! So, on today's list was homemade chocolate and vanilla ice creams (without an ice cream maker!), homemade icebox cake, and seven layer cookie bars for the (new) neighbors!! Whipping the cream for the ice creams and the cake!!! We made both with just these ingredients:
My sous chef Maddox, (multi-tasking) watching the cream while stirring the chocolate mixture!

Later after dinner the played "horsey" here Jackson was giving Maddox a little ride
And then they switched so Jackson could "be the cowboy" as Maddox said.
Then they played with the ol' doggie....
...until Walker decided he wanted a close-up!

How did the ice cream work out? No pics of the finished products? I am glad to see there still is a dog. Thought Walker had taken a hike. Love seeing the boys. Thanks. Love always.

They really should have played horsey with Walker don't you think? There is a saddle store not far from here. Haha!

Yum! I'm made that ice cream before. I liked it. But Lee said it was too rich. I have no idea what "too rich" means, as I've never experienced it- but it was good. Good job for baking!! Thats something I need to stop doing! :)

Nothing could go wrong with the baking and idecream as Maddox was really interested in watching it mix. How did all your mixtures turn out? I wouldn't think you could make both with what ingredients you show. Fill us in.
Walker looks like he would like to run around a little. Do you get him out much? He sure is huge.
Thanks for the pick,
Gram
