April Fool's!!!!!!!!

Poor Adam. We've been married for seven years this month.... and EVERY year on April 1st I play the same prank. I think I have mentioned it before, I loop a rubberband around the kitchen faucet sprayer so that when he turns the water on it soaks him. Well, SEVEN years running- I got him AGAIN!!!! I mean really, I thought by now he would have caught on and remembered but I guess not! We'll continue to see how long I can keep this thing going. Until then, hahahaha joke's on him! In other news, Maddox is supposed to get his cast off tomorrow! It's Spring Break for the boys this week, but we are just hanging around here, Adam has to work the first week of every month because of auction so we aren't going on any trips but hopefully I'll get a few things done around the house...I finally found a new diningroom table and would like to build a buffet to go with it. I also have some painting and decorating to do in Jackson's room so I should stay busy!! Sorry I have no pictures today, I've been slack with my camera. See you soon!!

We made it back from the doctor this afternoon finally. He's casted. Apparently it is a pretty good break. He has a Supracondylar fracture in his lower humorous. It is in a tricky spot that often times needs surgery, but the doctor was hopeful that because his break was pretty clean and aligned for the most part, that he shouldn't need surgery. He'll be sporting a cast however for the next month!!

Hello Again!

It's been awhile since my last post... sorry about that. I find that with the boys in school most days I dont have my camera out as much, and I know everyone likes pictures. It's a beautiful day out today, both the boys are sleeping at the moment so I fugured I'd do a quick post to update you all. It's been raining here a ton lately so we've been cooped up alot when the boys are home, but this coming week looks to be some nice weather finally so we'll keep our fingers crossed! It's been the same old same around here for the most part- Adam took a promotion at work and has been super busy with that the last couple weeks, I'm still in each of the boys' classrooms about once a week and they are both doing well in school. Last Friday was Dr. Suess' birthday so we had a party in each of their classes for him. I brought in lots of treats and read few Dr. Suess books, and did a little activity with them. We have been trying to get a few things done around our house this week, touching up some paint, redecorating the dining room, and painting and decorating Jackson's room...we'll see how it all goes! We spent this morning at the Children's Urgent Care Center with Maddox, he fell off a chair and broke his arm! It wasn't a very far fall either, maybe a foot or so from the ground, but apparently he hit it in just the right spot. Bless his heart- he's been to the ER and Urgent care enough in his four years for both he AND Jackson! Jackson doesn't seem to be as accident prone I guess. So anyways, he's in a splint for now, until I take him to the orthopaedic doctor on Monday and I guess they'll cast it. Well, enjoy your day!!! I'll be back with updates soon.....

Jump Rope for Heart!!!

Jackson's school is participating in the "Jump Rope for Heart" fundraiser. It's part of the American Heart Association and every year students pledge to jump rope for a healthier heart and raise money to donate to help those with heart disease, his personal goal is $100. Oh that husband of mine....

he must love me more...because he built me THIS!he surprised me last Saturday by having my mom and grandma get me out of the house all day while he re-did my closet. Had I known he was doing it I would have taken before pictures for sure, but it was a surprise. Before it was a just a simple 5'x6' closet with two wire closet shelves for hanging my clothes, which meant the 43 pairs of shoes you see above were a DISASTER in the closet floor! He loves me.

I love shoes. Like I REALLY love them. The three pairs above are some of my latest additions from Christmas and birthday. And I love them all! I especially love the closet pictured too, but unfortunately that is not a recent addition......sigh. One day!!!!

I posted these pictures backwards, sorry. It's been a while since my last post, we've been bust bees lately. I was sick twice since Thanksgving and in between I was finishing up Chrismas shopping and in the boys' classrooms quite a bit with the holiday parties and planning etc. Here are a few pictures of the last couple weeks:
this was our disaster area after Christmas morning! the house is still a mess, but it'll have to wait until later this week!

We all got some great stuff from Santa and the boys had a great time opening up all their goodies... Maddox got a scooter he's been wanting since Jackson has one and so does their neighbor friend, Jackson got a big boy bike... the one he has been riding he's had for 2 years and has really out grown it!

On Christmas Eve my mom, eric, aunt dyan, carlos, cousins, grandma sandy, michael, and our friends Kendall and Adam came for lunch and to visit...here are the boys opening gifts that day:

The week before school let out, the boys had holiday parties at school, I went in and helped with Jackson's and then checked him out and we headed over to catch Maddox's little program he had, they sang a few holiday songs and had some sweet treats for everyone to enjoy while we were there....poor Maddox felt awful and left early with us when it was over, I took his temperature when we got home and he had a fever! I guess he caught what I had earlier in the week.

I made these super cute cupcakes and took in to Jackson's class party- aren't they adorable!?!?
