A Nice Weekend

Nuttiness continued...
Adam is definitely Walker's favorite playmate- he gets all crazy with him! This looks a little dangerous, but Adam is the only one he is allowed to play like this with! All the background noise is the boys still going nutty because they are WIRED for some reason...
My Motto for the day...(and probably from here on out considering I have 2 little boys and a huge dog!)
Today stinks...the weather is COLD-no fun to go outside and we're BORED! That being said, my kiddos are driving me NUTTY! And I'm not getting anything done...I strapped them in earlier and let Scooby-Doo baby-sit for a little while. (We don't normally keep the carseats in the house, but they were in a friends car so they ended up inside last night.)Saturday, February 13, 2010
Snow Day!
Well, the snow the weatherman called for came through yesterday. Here are some pictures from today of the boys playing; Maddox was napping but Maryellen kept the boys yesterday/last night while Adam and I went to Chateau Elan for a mini weekend escape!!! It was wonderful and much needed!!! Anyway- she has more pictures of them playing out yesterday so I'll post those later too! Above is Jackson with his "huge" snowball.Sunday, February 7, 2010
New Family Member

Meet Walker! We're trying it again. After we re-homed Apollo (which I never posted about because I was sad and felt like a bad person for a little while) I have been feeling like our family is missing someone(a pet, not a person). For any of you who didn't know we re-homed Apollo, we did back in September. It was best for all of us, he wasn't a good match for our family and he wasn't great with the boys. Anyway, we've found ourselves on the internet almost daily looking at dogs. We've looked at all kinds, sizes, ages, etc. We kept going back to Danes. We wanted one a little older than "puppy puppy" but young enough that it wasn't a senior! So I randomly emailed a local breeder - her site said she sometimes had older pups and young adult Danes, but they may not be posted. So I contacted her. She called me back the next day- we made an appointment to meet who she had. When we showed up he was on the screened in porch and we were expecting a much smaller dog, Adam was shocked when she said "this is him!" Walker is currently 9 months, a little over 100lbs, and stands 32 inches at his shoulder. He is so sweet and I just LOVE him. He was a pup from one of the breeder's litters last year; a family purchased him but the mom ran her company out of her home so she really worked full time I think- they asked if she could find him a new home and hated to see him go. We absolutely fell in love with handsome face and after spending about an hour with him decided we'd take him!More pictures to come :)
