Here are a few short videos from this morning. We had a fun morning and a pretty low key day. We had my mom and Eric, Max, and my grandparents and Adam's mom and dad for brunch and exchanged a few more gifts. Afterward, just hung out and then we watched a few movies. A good day!

The night before Christmas

Adam read "The Night Before Christmas" before the boys went up to bed...
...then Santa came! I just love it when the tree has all the presents under it! It looks so pretty!

Merry Christmas!

Here's today's pictures from this morning and this afternoon after naps! Santa brought quite a load last night! The boys got some cool new Trio blocks, clothes, hats, trucks, a new table, movies, tub toys, transformers,trains.... Adam got a really cool new watch he's been wanting, a new toboggan, sweatshirts, cologne, movies, and some other little things. And I got an espresso maker (!!!!) some new shirts, a ring, a bag for my camera, really cute boots, and some fun stocking stuff :)
Maddox and his blocks( it's an airplane) they are actually pretty cool blocks!

Random Pics of the last couple days

Here are just some random pictures from the last few days that we've taken with my NEW CAMERA!!! My birthday is next week; so Adam and I found a really good deal on it last week (I had been deal hunting and comparing prices) and didn't want to miss the bargain so we got it, and I got to open it early!!! I LOVE it! although, it can do so many cool things that I haven't even begun to read the manual...I'll get to that; but it's pretty cool! It's a Nikon D5000 SLR- and it totally rocks my socks off! :) Can't wait to learn how to use it!

haircuts and brotherly love-

Well, I decided to cut all Maddox's hair off the other day! It was terribly uneven due to Adam attempting to "trim" it a while back. I kept thinking it would even out eventually but it was a hot mess! So- I bribed him into letting me clip it! I think he looks so cute- but it made me sad because he looks like such a big boy now, not so much my little baby!Afterward Jackson got a little trim too- so here they are showing off their haircuts!

A Ride on the Polar Express!

We went to Chattanooga last Thursday to take the boys on the North Pole Polar Express ride! The both LOVED it, especially little Maddox! He loves trains anyway, so the fact that he got to ride one was even better! We got to the station about 7pm (our train left at 7:30) and after a few minutes we boarded; then Santa's helpers told us the story of The Polar Express as we rode, they handed out cookies and yoo-hoo(which I think was suppose to be in place of the hot chocolate) and we rode to the North Pole! Once we stopped Santa boarded and visited with each of the kids as we rode back to the station! Here are some pictures.... (p.s. there are ALOT!)
Here Maddox was clapping and singing along as we sang Jingle Bells
Looking out at the Christmas lights

this was in the car on the drive up to TN, which seemed to take forever!
poor Jackson said 15 mins before we got there, "Mommy I wanna go back home, the train's too far away!" I informed that at this point it would take longer to get home than to the train station! Poor little guy!

All aboard...

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

I love this time of year- right after Thanksgiving and then the few days before Christmas are my favorite! I got up yesterday at 4am to do some Black Friday shopping and I got some GREAT deals! But more than that I love decorating- below, my blog-worthy favorite Christmas decoration of all! I was so glad to see it this morning, it's been a whole year! If you know me, then you know I love Winnie the Pooh Christmas decor- (what my ENTIRE tree is filled with) this little thing plays "Carol of the Bells" when you turn the dial- I just love it! My super-simple centerpiece! I thought of this about a month ago because I had been looking for a versatile piece for my diningroom table- I didn't have any luck finding anything I liked. So, I randomly found this hurricane/vase at Target and thought that I'd just fill it with faux leaves and gourds for the fall/Thanksgiving season! (I'm so genius) then this morning I emptied it and filled it with ribbon and extra ornaments I had! Talk about versatile.
we re-arranged the room this year for the tree- I like it. I'm not done decorating, after I blog I'm going to get more ribbon and lights for the mantle, but you get the idea! (You can't tell in the picture, but on the ends of the mantle are the 100 Acre Woods!)

My Hallmark Pooh tree!(You can't really tell here either, the lighting was bad.)

Happy Turkey Day!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We did! We had a delicious Thanksgiving lunch with my mom, brother, Eric, my grandparents, and Adam's parents! We played our annual games (pass the present and word search) and Jackson won the present and Adam and I won the word search! (as usual!) ;)

Sorry...

...I'm so excited over such little things, but this is really for Ashley...we said we'd tell each other about the great deals we get because we like it so much. (I think I'm addicted) Okay so 2 Schick razors (not disposables either!) 3 Colgate toothbrushes, 1 box Kleenex, 2 Welches juice, and 4 tubes of toothpaste... $11! (that's less than $1 an item!)

Marshmellows and fires

I know I've been boring you with my coupon and grocery posts- so here are some of the boys last weekend. It's been getting cold here at night, so we started a fire last Saturday and made S'mores with the boys. It was their first time- I think they liked it!

fall family pics

We tried for family pictures again, since the weather has been so nice and the fall foliage is so pretty. Maddox did not cooperate too much, as we had to wake him from a nap...oh well. We'll try again in the spring! You can view them here:

A Bargain!

Okay, so I have been tring to be more "coupon and sale conscious" lately; especially after seeing Kelly's blog and what great deals she's been getting. So a few weeks ago I tried going to Publix and using some coupons- to my disappointment I spent $20 more than I normally do without coupons! I've since been clipping coupons, but think I have finally figured out how to use them. Today I went to Publix after carefully shopping their weekly flyer and figuring out what I needed from there. SO I went and only bought the items they had on sale AND that I had coupons for. (not everything on my grocery list like I did a few weeks ago) So after the store sales and my coupons I saved $26 and I got all this for only $28! :) The great thing about Publix is that they take almost any coupon and they double them!

The best part was, these four items alone were only $3.10!!! Here's how: they were running a GMills and Nature Valley 4 for $10 deal, plus I had a $4 off coupon and I had an additional $2.90 in manufacturer's coupons, giving me my total!!! What a DEAL!

UTAH!

I went out to see Adeline (and Anna and Stratton) this past weekend! We had lots of fun and Adeline is too cute! Here are some pictures from the trip! Anna had mentioned that Addie needed some warmer clothes for the winter, and since they're in UT it's already getting pretty cold there. So out shopping we went! We got her some super cute stuff, this little snow hat came with mittens and right now it's way too big but I think she'll grow into it soon.

She needed a jacket, and this was the smallest one we could find, luckily it has cute little ears! She was so cute in it, she looked like a little polar bear!(so we got the pants to match too!)
We found this little Christmas/holiday dress at Baby Gap, it's too big too but by the time the holidays get here it will fit perfect! (Since we found all these cute outfits for her, I insisted we make her do a little fashion show, just incase you didn't catch on!)

How cute!!!
