This picture of Maddox and Adam is kinda old, but I just found it and thought it was so cute...it was from about 6 months ago.

This is from Thanksgiving this year, we were just having fun taking pictures of ourselves so my aunt would have some pictures to put on her HUGE desk at work! Right Dyan?!?

Bedtime

So the other night I was working on homework in the guestroom and Adam was putting Jackson to bed, he told him goodnight after laying with him for a few minutes and went into our room to read. I came in a few mins later and was working on my school work in our room while he read. When I finished I got up to check on Jackson and turn out his flashlight that he now keeps on while he falls asleep (due to the monsters in his closet). I went in and he was not in bed, I looked around to see if maybe he was hiding, no sign of him. Called his name, no answer...went into the guestroom to see if he was in there playing and just as I was about to leave the room because I didn't see him, I noticed this... I guess he got up and came in here while Adam and I were in our room, it was so funny though because we never even heard him get out of bed...I wonder what he was doing anyway???

I guess he got tired...

I've never made homemade chocolate chip cookies...

...until yesterday. I've never really been one much for baking, probably because I don't really like baked goods. I prefer "food food" anyways I decided to bake cookies yeasterday for the first time actually! It might have been in part to the time of year and I felt it was appropriate, it just seemed like a season to bake so here they are... they were actually pretty good, Adam and Jackson have eaten all but four!

It's Christmastime!!!

We put out tree up last week! Only 17 days to Christamas...just thought I'd post a pic of our tree and a few of the decorations we put up, I'm not done and in the picture posted you really can't see them anyway. Jackson is really excited, we drove by some houses with Christmas lights up last weekend and he saud "I want Christmas at my house too mommy." So Weds. we took him to pick out a tree and when we got it home and decorated it he was so excited, now he says, "I have Christmas at my house!"

Halloween

Okay so, oringinally I was going to dress them as "Thing 1 and Thing 2" from Dr. Suess since when we were in FL I bought them shirts and was going to paint their hair blue, but I found this monkey suit and it fit Maddox perfectly and it was too cute to let it go to waste, so the Thing 1 and 2 thing kinda got thrown off. Jackson was a ninja, it was sort of last minute, I found it at Old Navy a few days before Halloween when I realized I was dressing Maddox as a monkey. It was really the best thing I could find, all the ther costumes were elephants and chickens, who dresses their kid as a chicken? Not me.

2 Months Later...

Okay... so it's been quite a while since I've posted, I figured if Sarah was taking pics of the house for me I must be behind! BUT, in my defense, I was moving, closing on a house, and student teaching all at the same time, not to mention trying to unpack with a 1 and 3 year old!!!I posted a couple of pics of the house that Sarah said turned out dark on her camera for anyone interested, but the house is far from being "done" in my opinion, I still have a few things to unpack, Jackson's room to finish, window treatments, the list goes on...

Sea World

We went on vacation last week to Orlando, we did Sea World, Disney, and Universal...it was fun! Here are a few pics. I have more and will post later, some are on my mom's camera because I forgot mine one day and my videos are not uploading at the moment... anyway, Jackson really enjoyed Sea World- we did the Shamu show and the Bird and Dolphin show, the dolphin show is AMAZING! We saw it last time we went too and loved it just as much this time!

House Progress...

Well the house is starting to come together...it actually looks livable now. Above is a picture taken from the entryway into the livingroom

Happy Birthday Jackson!!!

Jackson turned 3 today! We will be having his party in a couple weeks(invitations went out today) but tonight was just a family party! Here he is opening presents, blowing out his candles, and showing some of what he got...

He was excited to wear his special "birthday hat" all day and he asked for pizza for dinner.

I stole this picture from Sarah's blog...because I think it is the cutest picture ever, plus he's my kid so I have the rights to it! haha. Although Maddox didn't really participate in the crown decorating with Jackson and Amy he did wear his willingly!

A New Project

A BIG project to say the least, but we're excited! We started work on it 2 weeks ago and can't wait for the finished project! We went last week and bought all our hardwood floors- they are beautiful handscraped walnut, I lOVE them!!! More pictures of progress to come, honestly it looks like a dump in this picture but it was taken a week ago, it already looks better. Adam had some people come help last weekend and the yard has been cleared out and cleaned up. The inside is coming along too!

Goodbye

Since we sold our house (it closed on August 8th) we are kind of homeless at the moment, we've shacked up with Adam's parents which meant I had to say goodbye to Maddox's nursery! I loved his room! Oh well atleast I remembered to get pictures before we left.

Maddox's 1st Birthday

I do realize that he turned one almost 2 months ago...but we've been really busy! So here are a few snapshots of Jackson getting ready to "jump" - his new favorite thing to do at the pool!

A few weeks ago we went to eat at Firehouse, Jackson got a cool fireman hat as you can see he liked it... However when we took it off this is what we found. I guess he was tired!
